The idea of the Forum for the Promotion of Peace was developed by His Excellency Sheikh Abdullah bin Biyeh through his awareness of the current situation of the Muslim societies in the current state of ideological alignment and civil strife, which led the nation to divide and divide and tomorrow each party seeks its supporters in a cycle of struggle to survive its inevitable fate to the courtyard.
Under these circumstances, Sheikh Abdullah Bin Baih felt the urgent need to create a space of wisdom and thinking for all, and includes the first voices of the rest of those who believe in peace and being the true guarantor of all other rights, as there are no rights except by a state of social conciliation guarantee the five colleges, (Religion, self, mind, display, money).
The Peace Promotion Forum, based in Abu Dhabi, has come to meet this need as a platform for consolidating and communicating the concepts of peace, and for spreading the culture of peace and dialogue as the most effective means of ensuring the interests of people, nations and religions.
The Forum has been adopted since its first directives by His Highness Sheikh Abdullah Bin Zayed, Minister of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation of the United Arab Emirates, for his deep awareness of the importance of the intellectual approach in dealing with the issues of violence and extremism and solving the nation crisis. And guaranteed the elements of complete independence, and refrain from putting it in the ranks of ideological alignments and doctrinal exceptions.
The Forum has been a great success since its first meeting (2014), which was held in Abu Dhabi in the presence of hundreds of scientists and intellectuals from all over the Islamic world and believing in the need to involve the voice of intellectuals as part of an integrated system to resolve the crisis of violence, prompting US President Barack Obama to praise the Forum and its President Sheikh Abdullah bin Bia in Addressing the General Assembly of the United Nations, Indian Prime Minister Moody praised the uniqueness of the award "Imam Hassan bin Ali to promote peace," which gave the Forum to Indian thinker Maulana Waheeduddin Khan for his efforts to consolidate and promote a culture of peace. The Forum also received a great tribute from the King of Morocco, His Majesty King Mohammed VI following the Marrakech Declaration on Minorities, organized by the Forum in partnership with the Ministry of Awqaf and Islamic Affairs of Morocco, which left a strong resonance worldwide governments and institutions.
